Lucia Catalan, the ACE Global Leader of Excellence, is head of the Iberia Retail Business for Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM). She serves on Goldman Sachs Iberian Supervisory Management Committee. Lucia is responsible for coverage of clients in Spain, Portugal and Latin America, including pension funds, banks and insurance companies. As part of her role, she advises clients on investment solutions ranging from fixed income and liquidity, equity, alternatives and private markets. Lucia joined Goldman Sachs as an analyst in 1999 and was named managing director in 2019.
Prior to joining the firm, Lucia worked in a product strategy role at Fleming Asset Management in New York, covering institutional clients in Latin America and Luxembourg.
Lucia earned an MSc in International Relations and Affairs from the London School of Economics in 2013. She also earned a BA in Business Administration and Management from ICADE, Comillas Pontifical University in Spain. Lucia is a CFA charterholder and a member of CFA Society of Spain. Lucia is a strong supporter of women empowerment.
